This boiler is a direct derivative of the combination boiler of the same range and was designed as a heating only boiler. The boilers are available in 20 kilowatt, 24 kilowatt and 30 kilowatt outputs. All the parts for a standard central heating sealed system are in one case. The expansion vessel, pump, pump overrun, safety valve, time clock and frost protection built in allow this boiler to be connected directly to a sealed central heating system and is then ready to operate as a time controlled stand alone heat source for the heating circuit.
However when we introduce the need for hot water production in conjunction with central heating the single channel timer that is supplied with the boiler becomes redundant. The system in line with Part L of the recent Building Regulations requires fully zoned, temperature controlled heating and hot water this introduces the need for a programmer (detailed wiring diagrams are available from the Helpline). The boiler can be used with an indirect gravity fed or pressurised cylinder.
